Toch nog mazzel dat Benazir Bhutto niet werd opgeblazen met een Pakistaans atoombommetje?
De Afghaanse president Hamid Karzai is nu in Pakistan. Hij zou ontmoette Bhutto daar vanochtend. Met Musharraf maakte Karzai gister al wat afspraken:
– Mr. Musharraf said their talks focused on the need for cooperation on intelligence to meet “this menace of extremism and terrorism, which is destroying both our countries.” — [NYT]
